staircase love story
staircase love story:
Mary sat on the staircase crying her eye's out, two floors below the
one of her ex, who had recently broke up with her. she had went up to
give him a valentines day cake and make love to him all day. instead
someone had done it in her place. so she sat there with a white box of
cake in her lap crying.

James came down the stairs, as glum as they come, wishing it wasn't
today. when he got to the third floor he was blocked by a crying woman.
she cried over a white bakery box, which he assumed had cake in it. it
looks like he wasn't the only one who was having a shitty valentines. "
you okay, ma'am?" he asked. she looked up. her blue eye's were puffy and
red due to crying, some of her light brown hair was in her smooth
peach face.
"yeah, I'm ok."
" Sorry am I in your way?" She asked.
"No, your not. I'm sorry but may I ask why such a beautiful lad like
you is sitting here crying on valentines?" she stared at him puzzled
that a stranger would ask such a question. "umm... Well... Its kinda
personal." She said.
James stepped down two steps, forcing her to move over as he sat besides her.
" today my girlfriend told me she was gay, and that it wasn't my fault
that she did. She said she always felt that way but wanted to test
herself so she used me. For a week. There."
-~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~-
Mary couldn't believe this. This guy, who she doesn't know, is
telling her such private things. He stared at her with his pale green
eyes. His black hair was pulled back into a ponytail, bringing out the
paleness of his skin. " There what?"
"story for story. I told you mine, now you got to tell me yours."
" But I don't even know your name." He thought about that. "James. James Macgaver. You?"
" Mary Miller."
"Well Mary Miller, whats your story?" Mary sighed. Figuring she had nothing to lose.
" I decided to give my boyfriend a 'Valentines day package'..." They
sat there while chatting and competing over who had the worse story or situation. They laughed and talked what felt like hours. Mary looked
down at the white bakery box that sat in her lap.
"oh.
I forgot all about this." she started to look a bit sad. James reached
for her chin, turning her to face him. she looked u staring into his
captivating pale green eye's.
" He's a jerk for doing that to you."
he said. "your the most beautiful and honest girl I've ever met. he
doesn't know what he's missing." Mary starred at him thinking. it was
true Edward was an arse wipe. this man though, he always knew the right
words to say to her. they both were having a horrible morning before
they met.
"your right." she said. they stared at each other for a
minute, both gazes lowering to each others lips. Not taking it any
longer they both pulled in for a kiss.
-~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~-
James savored the taste of Mary's strawberry lips. She tasted like
heaven. he never wanted this to ever stop, but she pulled back a minute
later. "I'm so sorry I didn't..."
"That's ok. you don't have to
apologize it was my fault also." he said stopping her from apologizing.
She smiled then, a flood of red filled her rosy cheeks.
" you know
what? We should go some where and eat this cake. How bout that?" James
smiled back. " Now your speaking my language lad." they got up, and
together they left the apartment building arm in arm as they talked.
(the end...... or is it?) happy V-day ;) ♥ sorry its late.
